I am also interested in the impact of a potential elimination of self-affirmed GRAS, as Kennedy and the FDA have been alluding to. ZBiotics has expertly navigated a tight space both with GRAS self-affirmation (and, to my knowledge, no FDA notification) and claims that are perfectly crafted to be on the structure/function side (e.g., "breaks down an unwanted alcohol byproduct called acetaldehyde," which is "the primary culprit behind rough mornings after drinking"). I am an admirer of Zachary Abbott and a user of one of the products (won't tell you which one 😵‍💫 ), just curious how this regulatory landscape will affect their strategy.
