... I think. I found this surprising stock certificate for the Bonabeau Enterprise (I had no idea there was such as thing) dated 15 January 1929. Yes, that 1929.

To be fair, this company, which I had no idea existed, was created on 7 July 1928. I can recognize my great-grandfather's signature. Smart dude. But according to family knowledge, he was a clogmaker (clogs are handmade shoes made of a piece of hollowed wood) in Burgundy where he also owned a bar with his wife. So what is this Bonabeau company? Are we rich? Did we lose everything in the 1929 crash? A Paris-based company, far, far from Burgundy. The plot thickens, the mystery remains.
