Reid Hoffman interview
Reid Hoffman I particularly like your "blind spot" comment. In venture capital there is a (very human) tendency to look for things that have "worked in the past" while at the same time pretending to support things that "have never been done". The more you know about a domain, the harder it is to "de-anchor" from your knowledge, and yet for the most innovative/disruptive ventures, "the past is not a predictor of the future." The question becomes, how to make a decision free of biases and preconceived ideas? Bet on people?
